If age requirements are necessary for camp registration, please make sure to check the USA Volleyball Age Definition Chart to the right to ensure you are signing your player up for the correct volleyball age category.
Please note the chart shown is last year's age definition chart. Once you find your son or daughter's age in the chart, look of column to the left to find the correct age for next club season. For example, a player born in June, 2009 is shown as an NCVA 12 year on the chart but will be an NCVA 13-year-old next season and should sign up for our 13s camp.
All Clinics take place at the BAVC Facility: 1950 Olivera Road, Suite One Concord, CA
Make sure your athlete wears comfortable athletic clothes and a good pair of court shoes.
Additionally, make sure to pack lots of water - COVID 19 prohibits shared drinking fountain.

2022 Boys Youth Winter/Spring Camp
This camp will provide younger players the opportunity to work on individual skills (passing, setting, hitting, serving, and blocking). The camp will also expose players to six-on-six team concepts and provide them the opportunity to practice team volleyball by in camp scrimmages. Players will be divided by age and ability.

Boy's After School Hitting Mechanics & Strength Training
Description: Boys' volleyball has increasingly become a power game. To compete effectively players, need jump higher and hit the ball harder. With this in mind, BAVC has created a weight room and a volleyball focused weight training workshop. This workshop is designed to improve player's jumping ability, hitting power and consistency. The workshop consists of three workout stations: volleyball-oriented strength training station, box hitting station, "live" hitting station with from various positions on the court and various footwork patterns. Players who attend these workshops on a regular basis will see significant improvement in their abilities.
Ages: 13s to 18 Days/Times: Monday & Friday 3:45 to 5:15PM Cost: $30 Per Session

Co-Ed Programs
Co-Ed Setter Training Workshop
Setting is one of the most challenging and rewarding positions on a volleyball team. This camp is designed to improve players ability to set all positions and attacks. For younger players the camp will provide opportunity to build wrist and forearm strength needed to run and effective offense. For older players, the workshop will provide the opportunity to work on running a fast attack offense and jump setting.

Description: Program for beginners who are new to the sport and intermediate players with previous experience who want to keep up their skills. For beginners, the program provides a fun supportive environment to learn all aspects of the sport and for intermediate players it provides an opportunity for players to take their game to the next level and to improve their individual skills.

Girls Serve Receive Workshop
Description: Serve receive is an essential part of effective “in-system” team play. This workshop will provide players with the opportunity get a high volume of serve receive repetitions of variety of serves: float, top spin, long, short, seam, etc. Liberos, defensive specialists, and outside hitters who attend these workshops on a regular basis will see significant improvement in their abilities in this area of the game.

Players interested in joining a team for next club season, should make sure to join one of our fall programs and be sure to let us know of your interest in club. In addition to tryouts, we use summer programs to evaluate players for placement on upcoming season club teams. We have off the books special invite camps for those players interested in playing for our club. If you are new to our club and registering for our summer programs and are interested in playing for BAVC, please email Coach Rich to arrange an evaluation.
